Singled out?

I recieve many calls for customers looking for single cabins on cruises, the problem is on nearly all cruise liners a single passenger will pay the price of 2 passengers, so double the cost or in some cases just under. You could say one and a half passengers!
I was speaking to a customer who loves cruises and she said she 'gritts' her teeth to pay the price she gets charged when shes only sleeping in one bed, so less cleaning for house keeping, shes not eating for two people just for one etc etc. This is all very true.
An option Fred Olsen cruises have is to cabin share, this may not appeal to everyone but it has proved very popular. You will only pay the standard price for 1 person sharing so no extra supplements. How is works is you will be allocated a cabin with someone of the same sex and similar age where possible. This is always something to consider, I have had a customer who has made a friend for life from cabin sharing and they now always cruise together.
All in all there are options out there to consider for single passengers, although they may not suit everyone.
